Over Memorial Day weekend I had great fun photographing the wedding of D+T in North Carolina's beautiful farm country.
In the true spirit of a destination wedding, D+T pictured their celebration to be more than just a day. Instead, they wanted to find a spot where all of their friends and family--- many traveling from afar-- could get together and enjoy each other for the entire weekend. Enter The Celebrity Inn and Dairy in Siler City, NC. This great little piece of space is home to a beautiful bed and breakfast, fields and grounds just the right size for saying "I do's" and dancing the night away, as well as some friendly goats that make just about the best goat cheese you've ever tasted.
Guests gathered throughout the weekend to camp on the property, enjoy the rocking chairs and swings, and enjoy the laid back wedding preparations.
When the afternoon of the celebration arrived, everyone helped out to make sure the grounds were looking beautiful. I particularly enjoyed the handmade Chuppah, which a friend of the couple had created for the event.
The ceremony went off just beautifully. So many unique elements were incorporated representing both of the couple's heritages and life together.
After the ceremony, D+T took a few minutes alone for themselves. From a photographic standpoint, this was my favorite part of the day. There were so many great shots it was hard to choose.
On the couple's return it was time to party! Guests ate, drank and danced the night away. The Dairy's live-in's also joined in the fun.....
